Operational research and prevention of epidemics

Water plays a key role in population health. At Interface-Eau, we conduct our investigations in the field, within the aquifers themselves. This approach allows us to perform extensive and detailed studies of the groundwater flows.

By investigating the presence and extent of natural or human-induced pollutants, Interface-Eau helps you :

  • Take corrective measures to repair dysfunctional boreholes
  • Redesign future boreholes to meet your quality standards.

Before carrying out hydrogeological studies, we generally start off by researching all available bibliographic resources, including geological maps.

Geophysics

When the geological maps are not detailed enough, or when the formations are not sufficiently contrasted at surface level to determine the sequence of the different layers, the location of the fractures, or the nature of the deeper rocks, we conduct our own geophysical investigations.

  • Geoelectrical survey: This method allows us to differentiate the soil’s horizons in terms of resistivity and identify aquifer potential.
  • Seismic geophysical survey: Occasionally we will also carry out a seismic geophysical survey to locate the discontinuities and physically study the different layers.

 

Now the real investigation can begin. As we carefully line up the different hydrogeological and hydrochemical pieces of the puzzle, an image starts emerging allowing us to produce a detailed and coherent conceptual model of the geological environment.
